Print Labels from Google Sheets
Starting with version 4.3, Label LIVE can automatically download your Google Sheet with the click of one button.
This feature is currently in beta and will become available in Label LIVE v4.3.
Share Google Sheet
Open your Google Sheet and click the File menu.
Choose Share and then Share with others.
Choose Anyone with the link and choose Viewer. Click Copy link.
Import Shared Data
Open a new Label LIVE design document and select the Data tab. Click the Shared button. Paste in the link you copied into the Enter URL text field (cmd-v or ctrl-v or right-click and select Paste). Click Add.
Click Use
Congratulations. You are now ready to begin designing a label using data from Google Sheets.
Anytime you need to reload you can click on the spreadsheet name and click Reload Now, or click on the gray timestamp below the spreadsheet name. All designs using this Shared Data will reload automatically.
Optional: Just One Tab
By default, using a shared link downloads the entire Google Sheet as one Excel spreadsheet file (XLSX). This file includes all the sheet's tabs (workbooks). Label LIVE loads the first set of data and you can change it using the button directly above the Label LIVE row selector.
If your Google Sheet is too large or complicated, you can download just one tab:
Open the original shared link in your browser
Click on the tab you want to download
Copy this new URL
Paste into Label LIVE > Shared Data > URL
Next Steps
After importing, you can begin to follow our guide on printing labels from a spreadsheet.
How do I select a different Excel workbook?
Label LIVE by default imports the first workbook, furthest on the left. To change click the name of the current sheet and select a different sheet.
